Pioneer Pride Fact
Billy Whitehill receives a scholarship to play for Ray Perkins and Alabama University becoming the first player at Boswell to play at a Division 1 College, lettering two years with the Crimson Tide. He ended his three-year career at Boswell with 231 tackles and is selected to the All-Tarrant and All-State teams. He becomes ony the second player in Pioneer history to participate in the coaches' All-Star game and the first and only player from Boswell to play in the annual Oil Bowl in Wichita Falls. Nick Fairless has an outstanding year as a kick returner and Seth Parker is the leading receiver. Bart Howell is outstanding on defense.
